Bari VijayaFounder & Lead Designer
Glodigs is a one-person studio with a deliberately narrow promise: I build websites that earn their keep. Not showpieces — working assets that bring in enquiries.
I started as an assistant at a partner studio, supporting website delivery for clients across Indonesia and the Netherlands. That's where I learned what actually matters once a site is live: it has to load fast, read clearly on a phone, and make the next step obvious. I now work independently and take projects end to end.
I write my own HTML, CSS and JavaScript rather than assembling pages from plugins and page builders. It takes longer, and it's the reason the sites I build stay fast and don't break when something external goes down.
No templates. No shortcuts. Every project is built for performance, structure, and long-term growth.
Milestones so far.
Not a highlight reel — a record of what was actually built, tested, and sometimes rejected along the way.
Started as an assistant
Supported website delivery for a partner studio across Indonesian and Dutch markets, before going independent.
Inherited a broken export, rebuilt from zero
A site export that failed without external assets was diagnosed and rebuilt as a single self-contained document — the studio's own first proof of the standard client work is held to.
Demos shipped, source code open
Independent case studies built end-to-end, each with a live demo and published source — not just screenshots.
47-point audit, zero fails
Navigation, every modal, video playback, and five screen widths tested with a headless browser — not eyeballed.
Site re-engineered to run lean on weak connections
Fonts moved off a third-party CDN to self-hosted. The showcase video now plays only on tap, runs once per view, and automatically drops to a lighter file if the connection can't keep up — measured live, not assumed.
Circular badge redesigned for precision across breakpoints
Text-path spacing recalculated to match the circle's exact circumference, position anchored consistently from mobile to desktop, copy made future-proof by dropping a fixed project count.
Typography brought fully in-house
The heading font, previously pulled from a third-party CDN, is now self-hosted — one less external dependency, one less point of failure.
Translation behavior refined for visitors
Pages now translate cleanly for non-English visitors, with navigation locked to prevent Google Translate from breaking menu layout — a real failure mode found and fixed, not assumed away.
Content protected from casual copying
Long-press context menus and the browser's automatic download prompts are disabled across the site, while every link still opens normally on a single tap.
Portfolio navigation restructured for precision
The hamburger menu's Portfolio item now expands into two clear destinations — the portfolio section itself, or the studio's full journey — with positioning corrected to stay pixel-precise on every screen size, and no accidental double-taps.
Background music, on the visitor's terms
A soundtrack was added to the homepage — it plays only when a visitor chooses to, never automatically, and never carries over past a single visit.
Custom motion design across the site
Hand-built animated icons replaced generic numbers and static graphics — a spinning gear mark, a swinging medal, coin-flip icons for the process steps — each drawn as original vector art, not a stock icon pack.
Load time measured, not assumed
The homepage's critical files — markup, heading font, hero photo — were timed directly against the live server. Realistic delivery: under one second, well inside any reasonable threshold for a first impression.
